Customer Review:
Jett
25 June 2024*Connection via FritzBox and Home Assistant without any problems
„I was looking for a retrofit solution for my relatively heavy wooden roller shutter in the bedroom. It needed to be "smart," with at least native control via an app or, at the very least, a timer function. Additionally, I didn't want to set up a new gateway.
The Homepilot RolloTron in this version perfectly meets these requirements. Installation was hassle-free and took just a few minutes – the boxes were already deep enough, so I didn't have to do any extra chiseling or drilling. The noise level is absolutely acceptable as well, and I don't quite understand the reviews that claim otherwise. If you have lightweight plastic shutters, there is probably a quiet motor that can lift them, but the noise my wooden shutters make when raised is louder than the motor itself.
Ultimately, the connection to the FritzBox also worked seamlessly (even though it’s three rooms and five walls away), and connecting it to Home Assistant was also straightforward. Therefore, I can only recommend the RolloTron belt winder to anyone looking for a similar solution.”
